Self-assessment workshops
Before beginning your entrepreneurial endeavor, it is important to determine what steps to take to launch and operate a business successfully. The Entrepreneurial Center offers a two-part Self-Assessment Workshop that helps you answer this question and begin planning.
The workshop, entitled "Is Self-Employment For Me?," is a prerequisite to Comprehensive Small Business Training, which covers topics essential for business owners and assists them in creating a business plan. The Self Assessment Workshop is offered several times each September and February and helps participants:
- Explore the impact of self-employment on their personal and family lives
- Measure their potential for successful business ownership
- Evaluate their business plan and skills
- Develop action steps to grow their business
The workshop also reveals the profile of those who succeed in small business and how you can adopt these traits:
- Independent self-starters
- Calculated risk takers
- Creative, resourceful, and confident
- Persistent and passionate
The Self-Assessment Workshops are offered in the morning and evening to accommodate your schedule.
